A/C continues to blow once engine is off and key removed. We can still cut it off by the A/C switch. Freaky to have it still blowing after turning it off and removing the key! This scenario sounds different than other problems posted about A/C's not cutting off at all - - any insight out there?

If you bought it used, it's possible that the previous owner changed the wiring to suit their own needs. The A/C may not be engaged; it might just be the blower motor.
This is really odd, afaik, the blower is fed from the ignition/accessory circuit. It almost has to be a user modification that makes it behave this way.

On the auto, there is a failure mode in the fan controller that can do this.
