bright yellow fluid leak !

Dec 18, 2007 25 Replies

I happened to spill some fresh gear lube, Valvoline Semi-Synthetic 80w90 to be exact, on some snow today and damned if it doesn't look bright yellow.

Cheers,

Earle

Who would have thought it ?

Dave Milne, Scotland

WATCH OUT WHERE THE HUSKIES GO AN' DON'T YOU EAT THAT YELLOW SNOW WATCH OUT WHERE THE HUSKIES GO AN' DON'T YOU EAT THAT YELLOW SNOW

With thanks to Frank Zappa.

I thought it was:

"You can go where the huskies go, but dont you eat that yellow snow"

I'd look it up, but that would require *knowing the name of the song*!

...

And the name is...... "Don't Eat the Yellow Snow" from Mr. Zappa's 1974 album Frank Zappa - Apostrophe (')

Had the same thing this morning - my mechanic say they get this a lot in the winter. Apparently it is likely that it is fluid melted off the exhaust...
