Camp Jeep California

I took the family to Camp Jeep in Virginia last year and had an absolute ball! Must have been almost 2 thousand jeeps there. There are events to keep someone occupied for a good portion of the time, trail rides for all different levels of skill and capability and one hell of a concert at the end with the best firework show I have ever seen. Food is not included and a bit on the pricy side (like any amusement park). The $335 is a high for an individual, but it covers as many people as you have seatbelts for in your jeep. I hate we couldn't make it back this year.

Although I have never been to one, I have heard only good things about Camp Jeep events. I think it is well worth the price.

Been to 2 Camp Jeeps (Virginia) and just registered for a third. Cannot think of any other outing/vacation my wife,15 yrear old boy and 18 year old can agree on that is fun for all.

Ok, I guess the simple question would be why not charge per person rather than per jeep? Or at least give the single rider a freak'n break.

I am going to my 4th Camp Jeep (Camp Hale, CO, Virginia, Branson MO). All three were awesome with the exception of feeling like i was on the face of the sun in Branson. My 2 year old at the time had a ball. Tons of activities from scuba diving class, golf lessons, mountain biking, kayaking, hiking, trail rides, crafts, kids tents, any jeep you could ever imagine. Fireworks at all three were the best collection of fireworks i have ever seen. Very Americana...well worth the $$.

Been to three so far. The price is per vehicle, and it's a great price for a family of 3. There's more activities there than most people can do in a three day weekend. It's very well run, and well worth the price. California is new this year, and this is also the first time that Jeep has held two Camps in one year, in opposite ends of the country. The fee covers camp activities only- food & room is on your own. There is no camping at the sites. If your jeep falls off of a mountain, towing is also technically your problem- although the trail leaders I've seen would always do their best to haul out the pieces for you.

They started to book in California last year, then abruptly cancelled it, saying that registrations weren't where they wanted them. Jeep also made some noise about admitting non-Jeep vehicles for one day only during camp last year. They were apparently shouted down, as they quickly cancelled that idea.

Price per vehicle don't help me much. Why don't they average the number of people per jeep (let's say three) and divide the 335 by 3 for one. So that'd be 110.00 for one person in one jeep. That's more reasonable.

This jeep thing is like pricing on health insurance. They give you two options. Single or Family no matter how many are in your family. So as I married man I'm paying the same as someone with a wife and 10 kids would pay. Just ain't right.

Announcing "Paul's Jeep Day Camp". For the low price of only $150 per person ( must have 3 for group), You camp near Utica reservoir atFish Creek. Saturday I will lead you up the "slick rock" trail, into Hermit Valley, and then up the "Deer Valley trail", all the way to the pavement at Blue Lakes. Then, I turn around and go back, where I camp in Deer Valley and fish. Sunday morning, back down to hermit, and onto the highway home. I provide nothing but good intentions and experience, combined with bad guitar playing. Banjo player available at extra cost. I will try to help any breakdowns, and winch the stuck with great distain. Anything longer than a CJ should have a mild lift. Price negotiable, will work for beef.

Hey, cool. For a free ticket, I can provide a bad guitar accompanyment AND bad, outta tune singing to boot. LOL

So I'm watching the tube and I see an advertisement for Camp Jeep California so I go to the puter and check it out.

I'm shocked to find the price is 335.00 for the weekend. So I try to find out what's included. Does anyone know? Is this price per family/person? It appears that lodging is not included. How about food?

Seems like an over priced marketing event from this chair.

Anyone been to one of these?

Check out Jeep Jamborees... they use PA quite a bit, and have a lot more trail riding than Camp Jeep. Also, if you're willing to go to MD, Virginia's Camp Jeep is only a few hours further.
