What you propose is not possible. Diesel engines are built to different requirements than gasoline engines, making it impossible for one to burn the fuel of the other. What you do, is you purchase a different engine, that is designed to run on diesel, that you then attempt to fit in place of your existing engine. Sometimes you can find an engine that is a good fit, and sometimes you can't. There is no source of step by step information, except in very restricted cases. In most cases, you are better off purchasing a completely different vehicle that does use diesel.

It really cannot be done. Diels have much higher bearing and crank cshaft loads than gas moters and hae biggerr and stronger cranks and bearings and stronger blocks to hold them. Then there is the heads as they have to be much stronger and secured better because of higher pressure and heavcier pistons too. GM tried to mass produce a diesleized gas motor in 70's thru early 80's based on a modified oldsmobile 350 engine block that had been beefed up and had bigger bearing but they had a lot of trouble with it and scrapped it after several years. Back in the 60 thru 70 GM bulit some large V6 truck motors for HD trucks that shared the same block for gas and diesel usage and they had no issues because they were designed that way from start.

I couldn't get the "Tarifs" page to work on that site, but on the British site they are priced from 17,995 pounds for the two door model to 23,090 pounds for the four door Sahara automatic. That's $35,768 to $45,895. That's for a Wrangler.
