After you get it put back together, you, in the future will gladly

LOL so true, it's well known that Chrysler has a weak spot with their evaporators - non coated aluminum that pits and leaks. I've had three evaporators in 7 years in my JGC. The first two under warranty , the third, the dealer cut me a deal. I looked into replacing it myself and happened to go to an independent shop where they were replacing one. WOW after seeing what they had to do in terms of taking out the dash and re-assembling it. Replacing the evaporator was a small part of the job. I'd rather pay the $900.

Yup. good idea. Next time I need to replace the heater core, I'll do the same. LOL. I just spent the last two weeks working under my wifes little BMW's dash installing one of those fancy alarm kits that does everything but mix your drinks. Damn , I need a chiropractor now. My back is ruined, my eyesight shot and it looks like my hands and arms were cut up with razors. I'd rather rebuild an engine or tranny any day of the week then work with anything behind the dashboard !!
