Marine Corps, 3rd 8" Howitzer Battery. This camp (head quarters platoon) provided the southern most security for the construction of the airstrip at Chu Lai, RVN. Our three gun platoons ranged from north of Quang Ngai City (10 miles further south) to Tam Ky (10 miles north).

I was the radio repairman, so the only artillery training I had was on the job. Aside from keep the comm working, I mostly hauled shells and powder (I drove 5 ton).
Most of the guys I knew that had g> Some Marines trained with me in Fort Sill, Oklahoma, did you take >class there?
