After a trip to my favorite local junk piles today, I can tell you that the list, while good, is far from comprehensive. My first choice place has something like 30 reasonably complete XJs and and 2-3 MJs on the lot. All cataloged in the computer even. And the prices I got were a lot better than the web site offered.

And today I found out that some of the parts they have listed as A (light to no damage) are not exactly that. The spare rim I was going to get looked like someone beat it half to death.

Now to be fair the yard manager was not happy and basically said it should never have been in the system. I think it was yard damage from being flung about.

I'm still looking for a decent 93-94 15" alloy 5 spoke. Dang things are rare. might have to just settle for a steel wheel rather than trying to make things match. I was hoping to find a couple and replace one of the wheels I gave a bad case of rock rash to a few years back.

Got a few more yards to call tomorow.

Tried about 12 other local yards that weren't in that system either and none of them had that wheel. It was only produced for two years and only on the 26F trim line of the ZJ Laredo. They switched to a

I did find one with minor curb rub for about $35 and picked it up. A local wheel repair shop charges about $60 to build up the edge and turn it back down. $90 more if they compleatly refinish it. That's still less than ordering a refurb or aftermarket.

Think I'll have them just fill it back and then try my hand at painting the thing. If it works out I might just paint the rest of my wheels.
