wiring a XJ hitch

He's got an `88 Cherokee. If it is like my `89 was then he's got separate brake light and turn signal systems, not the two filament combination stop/tail/turn lamp houses like the CJs had.

No, only more grief from the insurance company and some not so nice drugs from the doctors... I go in tomorrow to hopefully see how bad my esophagus is ruptured seeing as I have those symptoms too.

I have a U-Haul Tail Light Converter that converts vehicles with separate brake and stop light circuits to a conventional 4 wire system.

It does not have the plug-n-Play tee, you need to tap into the wiring so it can be used on any vehicle.

Can't lay flat without my stomach contents coming up into my mouth. I just thought it was a reaction to all the damn drugs they have me on, but a new Doctor didn't think so and now my Doctor agrees, so more tests....

It used to be 100% alginate which made it great for reflux but wasn't a very good antacid so you had to take a separate product for that. They 'new & improved' it so the reflux properties are now an after thought instead of a primary concern.

Since she is a music teacher, that was definitely not a good thing, so when all the normal reflux treatments essentially failed with varying degrees of success, they sent her to a speech pathologist who finally diagnosed spastic symphonia (uncontrolled twitching of the muscles in the larynx) which was causing not only speech problems but also passing air into the stomach

- causing the reflux along with other sympthoms.

OK, we had all this fancy diagnosis, but what to do?? The Dr. decided to use Botox to see if she could control the spasms. I was sitting there when she made this announcement and just had to ask "You mean you are going to paralyze her larynx"? The Dr. replied "No, just one side at a time. She'll still be able to talk, but only in a high, breathy voice". I commented "Well, I guess I should be happy for whatever I get." - ducking as I said it. The wife was asking about maybe getting any excess Botox applied to her face.

For the next month she went around sounding like an over-acting starlet but damned if it didn't clear up her voice problem and reduced the reflux to almost nothing. She had to go back for follow-on shots to alternating sides of the larynx whenever her voice started to degrade again, but the repeats are getting farther and farther apart.

Our street is a shortcut around a major intersection to the end of the subway so the idiots go pedal to the metal down it. It was a new Honda and it caved the front back onto the wheels. Tow truck time.

There was even a dump truck hit t-bone the same way this year turning into the same driveway! Had another little car try to go under my Jeep at the same place once last fall too. I got out, looked at my signal flashing away and him just about under me and asked him what the f@#$ did he think he was doing? He just shook his head looking at my frame rail at eyeball height to him.

It's a really bad street with narrow driveways so you have to cut wide.

Sounds like it's time to install lots of speed bumps and maybe some dragon's teeth (still a twoway street, but that part touching the intersection is a outlet only) down the lenght of the street...

On a side note, I tried your threaded rod method of removing and seating the front dif. oil seals and it worked like a champ... I think I lucked out in that I did not need a dif-spreader.

Thanks for the feedback. I have had good luck with that method too. I also love finding ways to beat the $tealership out of a cool $800+ in labor... :-)

Heh, yeah...

I inverted the old seal to use as a seater since I was parinoid that the washer would damage the rubber on the seal (could not get a washer that was a exact fit).
