First issue with our new Sorento

Well, after just two and a half weeks the Sorento is in the shop. Tuesday we had the moon roof spoiler installed - looks nice. Wednesday the wife noticed the airbag light was on. This morning was the first appointment for service that was available. Looks like there's a sensor under the drivers's seat that went bad and they need to replace it but they don't have it in stock. They expect it on Monday. The dealer was great for my wife who's handling this herself as it is "her" car :-) The dealer is picking up the tab for a rental over the weekend! Not bad!

Has anyone else had a problem with an airbag sensor?

I have not had any problems yet with mine. Here is another good URL to check on the Sorento.

My Rio's light came on at 582 miles; dealer fixed for free and I presume it was a sensor issue.

Yeah, my engline came on right when I got it about 25 miles out of the dealer. It was a short in the wiring harness, and caused the nuetral safety switch to go bad, so it wouldn't shift out of 3rd gear. It was promptly fixed.
