Re: we could have prevented it

I DIDN'T BOTHER TO READ ALL YOUR DRIVEL

IT'S ALWAYS VERY EASY TO BE A MONDAY MORNING QUARTERBACK.! YOU PROBABLY BELIEVE BUSH KNEW IT WAS COMING AND LET IT HAPPEN ANYWAY.

You know, I remember reading about another conspiricy theory where:

The US was attacked seemingly unprovoked.

The President was (and occasionaly still is) accused of conspiring to ensure the sucess of the attack in order to ensure the achievement of his goals.

We ended up going to war against the agressor and lost many men and women.

Of course, that was 1941, the president was a Democrat, and the agressor was the government of Japan.

Same crap, different century.

Nowhere near the same crap, I was there, were you. You are reading to many of the revisionists accounts of what they think should have happened. Born in the thirties and have to laugh at you wet nose pansies, do something good for the world and quit bitching and taking.

Too busy getting your broken Caps Lock key fixed? :-)

The above ("what an ass you are") was posted by somebody who (1) composes his replies in block(head) capitals, (2) composes said replies upside-down (an all too common bad habit these days), (3) quotes several dozen lines just to add a four- or five-line reply (an even worse, and more idiotic, habit) and (4) couldn't be bothered to take the two minutes to do a Google Groups search, and thereby discover that " snipped-for-privacy@fastmail.fm" doesn't actually exist -- it's a Fastmail spam-sink account, and as such sometimes gets joe-jobbed by spammers, such as this thread.

(Reference for the last point: )

As an old British proverb goes, it takes one to know one. :-)
