90 2.5TD

Hi, finally got my 90 on the road after a complete renovation. All seems fine except...

  1. An odd intermittent rattle (almost like a chain being dragged along the ground) whilst driving along, in any gear. Might not do it for a day or two, then start doing it again?

  1. Temp gauge on dash seems to slowly climb so the needle almost touches the 'C', but doesn't raise any higher, no matter how long I drive it. Is this a faulty gauge (I don't think so), a faulty thermostat (likely) or highly efficient and effective cooling system ????!!!!!

TIA, Angus

In my experience with the 2.5DT, the cooling is too effective. The engine never gets very warm. The temp gauge on mine never points beyond
