I only went to look at the D reg 3.5Efi Range Rover.......and before I knew it money had changed hands!!. (£850 with years MOT and tax to May 04).
So a couple of questions for you clever people.
Firstly it has an oil leak, I know that 'they all do that' but I would like to try and cure it!. It seems to be coming from in between the 2 banks of cylinders under the plenum chamber type thing. What is under here which would cause a leak, faulty gasket I'm thinking.
Secondly the steering wheel has a habit of shaking badly when doing about
50-60MPH and you drive over a drain or big bump. The previous owner thought that this might be down to a knackered steering damper (which I assume is the small shock looking thing connected to the steering tie bar and front axle). Does this sound correct or do I need to be looking at things like shock's/bushes.
No doubt I'll have more questions but thats all for now!.
