Looking 4 help

O clever ones, Recently purchased a Jan 98 300tdi ES auto, actually the badges say PREMIUM but the V5 says ES, pleased with it thus far, but I'm missing the cd multichanger cartridge, bought a freelander multichanger one off fleabay expecting its cartridge to fit but Sod's law it don't. The radio/head unit is a PHILIPS, the one that sheds its buttons at the drop of a hat*, but I can't see what's the breed of the multichanger, I've only recently found it, under the drivers seat not under the passenger's as I had been led to believe, I thought I was short the whole lot. Please, can anyone point me to the right changer and thence to the cartridge. The one out of the freelander unit looks fairly standard but it is too wide to go into the unit in me Disco, can't get the unit out of course. Someone with a gash one that'd fit would be awfully nice but if not, its name, rank and number would help greatly on the quest for one.

*only rebuilt 3 buttons so far.

Most common units were phillips now VDO occasionally some sony ones were fitted you need to find out the number of disc slots in the magazine you bought off ebay as the standard ones should have 6 slots but if yours has 10 then you need to get a 6 disc one.

I have some new ones some where do you have any photos of the wrong magazine and the changer you could send me.?

if you cant get correct unit i t may be cheaper to buy a complete new head unit and multi changer and fit that to your disco

The unit I purchased is an Alpine IMS, unfortunately I'm not in its vicinity till next month, It certainly is a 6 slot beast. However the opening in the installed unit is too narrow for the later cassette/cartridge.
