Mounting a Farm Jack on a Discovery

Jan 19, 2005 3 Replies

Any suggestions on where to mount a Samson Farm Jack on a Disco so that I don't end up with it bouncing around the inside?

At the moment I'm more or less limited to lashing it to the roof rack, but that's less than ideal I think.

Somebody used to do spare wheel carrier jack mounts, but I don't think this thing's got the same spacing as a HiLift or a Jackall and don't want to buy something expensive that's useless.

any ideas?

How about a couple of lengths of threaded rod from the jack to the spare wheel bracket holding the jack up against said spare wheel? just a thought.

Baler twine is the favoured tool for all purposes. There is hardly anything that cannot be secured by it.

Hi paul, if you go the LROI web site and do a search for Hilift jack on bumper?
