Websites and parts ?????

Yippee! I'm putting my 1970 2a back on the road soon after five years of being laid-up and I have a shipping order for the first LR website I can access all the parts from, but I find;

The Paddock website "

formatting link
" isnow un-navigable, I've clicked on "series" and it returns the same pagestuck in a loop, probably Javascript, and why when they don't needJavaScript for simple menu navigation. The Craddock website "
formatting link
" uses a weirdlist that appears endless without scroll bars so you've no idea how longthe list is until its finished loading, only then to find the item youseek doesn't have an image, in fact "no image available" appears to bethe norm on all their products, How are you expected to purchase an itemyou cant see?

The Mersey Land Rover website "

formatting link
" (now LRcentre) at least is navigable but I still can't find all the items Ineed.

Hmm, I wonder if *Beamends* has the following items?

Are you there Richard?

New brake master cylinder, New water pump, New steering box, mainly the gearbox end with bollys etc. New original complete full set of seats with frame, New series 3 type mirror (fits on the door hinge), New door rubbers, New quarter length canvas, in green, Five new track-rod ends.

Probably more bits when I do a proper inspection

Steve.

buggered if I know. The new site works on mouseover, assuming you have javascript and a suitable browser. I sent 'em email about it, but got no response. Not likely to improve their customer numbers, IMHO - it's more fiddly to use than the old one.

Beamends' website is nice and simple, though:

You must start Paddocks from

formatting link
and then follow the links otherwise it just doesn't work. Hope this helps! Jon SIIIx2

Using Firefox and Paddocks is working OK for me at the moment.

Yes, prices are good, delivery the same, plus the guy puts a lot back into this group. I always try him first. Recommended.

I think their quote; "You will find all of our faster moving parts and accessories available for you to purchase 24 hours a day, 365 days a year." is fine if only I could actually find the parts.

I've gone elsewhere

It is probably my browser that causes the problem. I've just looked at their source code, what a mess, there's over 80 errors on the main page with elements and meta tags all over the place and overused JavaScript to boot, no wonder it doesn't work for me.

I'll go elswhere.

It makes no difference here, just serves up the same error page ;(

I didn't realise Beamends site was so comprehensive, easy to use and the search engine works too ;)

I'll contact them for prices etc.

it *works* here, but it's more fiddly to navigate than the old one.

No problem - all 4 possibilities in stock (88/109/CV/CB) - on site

No problem - on site - "Military" version as well.

No problem - on the site.

Cushions on the site (standard or De-Luxe), frames will be added in today.

On the site.

On the site (by the metre).

If not on the site (no exactly certain of your description), they soon will be!

All possibilities on the site (fully threaded, shouldered, with or without grease nipples)

Anything not on the site yet gets added when someone asks for a quote.

You'll need to look in SIII as well for some bits, II/IIa/III are being merged (slowly!).
