Aftermarket iPod connectors

I'm specifically asking about the new IS 350, but I'm guessing that other Lexus systems will at least be similar. Are there better aftermarket connectors for iPods that will work, similar to the Dension ice->link

I do not see Lexus as asupported model, but I have seen successful installs on the web forother cars that are not listed. I know the new IS has an aux port for an MP3 player, but in my opinion it is a poor solution. I realize this gives the option of connecting any portable music player, but it does not allow for control through the stereo or ID3 display on screen.

I have seen that some car models cannot have the ice->link installed if they already have nav and a CD changer because there are no more available ports. Does anyone know if this is the case with the new IS?

TIA

Remote control of 3rd party players is a tricky business, especially since there are no industry standards for same.

Learn to live with the aux input, and be grateful that Lexus has provided it.
