Have dealer do simple body work?

I scraped my 2003 ES bumper against a stone wall at low speed, leaving a ding about 6 inches long and 1 inch deep (photo at

). Is this something I should take to the dealer to fix, or should I shop around? Would the dealer be as good at this kind of repair as an independent body shop? And what am I looking at here dollarwise, any guesses? (The black part on the picture isn't a hole, it's just some kind of dark lower layer showing through.)

Not every dealer has a body shop. The repair can probably be done at any competent body shop. Ask your dealer for recommendations.

You are probably looking at $300 - $500.

Oh, shop around! Any decent body shop can repair that for under $200.
