Hesitant crank on 1990 LX400 startup..

Bought a new sealed battery for top dollar ($100+) 2 yrs, 7 mo ago. Instant fire up with ignition on; that is until yesterday when a discernible hesitation occured.

Symptom of ailing battery? Remedy?

now, hesitant to crank, or hesitant to run?

as long as your charging system is doing it's thing, 13.5V-14.5V, and your alt, batt, starter connections are ok, the hesitant crank may be a failing starter solenoid.
