I have a 95 1.6 Astra with the Ecotec engine, which until recently has run very smoothly.
It has developed what I think is an intermittent misfire, it starts fine both hot and cold but sometimes idles a little lumpy othertimes very smoothly. When it's lumpy the exhaust goes put,put,put,put and the engines can be seen to be rocking slightly. It lacks power and is quite noisy going up any incline however slight.
I'm going to take a look at the plugs at the weekend (NGK) but they were only changed last May, (oil, oil & air filter done about seven weeks ago).
If the plugs look fine then I'm thinking; leads or the coil dis combination thingy, any comments or other suggestions before I start buying and swapping things out.
