just changed stop and tail light lamp because it was brighter than the other and noticed the tail light filament had three filaments on it. Probably a case of chinese torcher.

just changed stop and tail light lamp because it was brighter than the other and noticed the tail light filament had three filaments on it. Probably a case of chinese torcher.
some bulbs have a central support wire for the longer filament (makes them more resilient), this can give the appearance of three filaments. Now if there are three contacts on the base plus the earth it is a different matter
critcher said.......... no this was three distinct wires running across the terminals.
