Car radio fix.

Is it possible to get a car radio fixed these days? It's an extremely expensive BlauPunkt Woodstock - the top of the range when bought. Basically, it came on of its own accord the other day when the car was parked up. You can switch it on without the ignition, but will switch itself off again after a fixed time. No idea how long it was running, but it wouldn't switch off properly. Just went to the standby mode with the time showing. Totally powered it down by disconnecting the battery, and it now is back to as it should be. But my guess is the fault will come back.

I'm quite good at fixing electronics, but such a densely packed device - and no schematic - is well above my pay grade.

Could help with the schematic

Which "DAB x" model is it?

Look at the line "This file is downloadable free of charge" and wait for the link to the right to change from Processing to "Get Manual".

The file will likely be a .RAR file you'll need to unrar.

Would you pay for it? Such an intermittent fault may well take many hours or even days to sort out. I charge £35 per hour which is very reasonable these days.
