Compressor Air Receiver

This weekend I acquired a new compressor, which I am very happy with(it works!) but after having an initial play with a die grinder, myonly convern was realised - the 25 litre tank just isn't up to it.It runs out of puff far too quickly when using the grinder forprolonged periods (less than a minute) the motor kicks in fine butobviously can't keep up with the requirements of the grinder. So I haveto keep pausing to let the pressure build all the time, plus it getsnoisy and annoying having the motor run all the time.What I want to do is find a large 'tank' that I can attached to thecompressor to effectively expand the capacity.Now where to get one? There was the perfect article on Ebay...acompressor with the compressor component removed, ie a tank and motoronly, but as soon as I started bidding the price shot up as someone hadput a huge max bid on.Where else can I source a suitable tank? I have a friend who uses alarge tank of some sort...he thinks it was an old propane cylinder orsimilar...where can I source old ones of these or similar to use? I amunsure where to look.Also, if anyone happens to have a suitable tank (ie broken comressor,old gas cylinder) then maybe I can have it off you :-)Cheers in advance.Jon

Hmm Back on this, still haven't found one yet, but when I do does anyone know the sort of adaptors/sizes I need to get? Are the connectors on the bottles all a std size?

Need some sort of two way connector too, one from the compressor, the other to the airline.

Most of the threads will be BSP (British Standard Pipe) These will be available in brass or iron from plumbing places. Many air fittings, quick releases etc, are PCL (That's a trade name - I think) They are available from places like machine mart.

Thanks Steve, got all connectors I need for the airlines/tools, ie quick release etc. just wondering what the bottle will be.
