daewoo musso immobilised

My brother in law's 2.9d automatic musso had an immobiliser fault, his numpty mechanic has tried to fix it by removing the laserline immobiliser and succeeded in disabling the engine, such that the starter turns it but nowt else happens. There seems to be something preventing movement of the gear shift but this may be unrelated.

As it's worth

I don't know but it's too late to got back now because the mecahnic has mullered the system. I think I'll have to go back to basics.

OK Thanks

I don't think this was aftermarket, BiL says it was a standard fitting.
