E34 pusher fan.

The a/c fan on '94 E34 SE doesn't work, and by the feel of it hasn't worked for some time. It's not essential. The a/c works fine without so I didn't want to fork out £139 for a new one.However, I've picked up a new OEM pusher fan for a 5X for peanuts.



I realise the housing/mounting might be different, but providing it will fit in the space, I've no doubt I can adapt it to fit. Either by making parts or by canibalising the old mounting.



Hopefully the answer will be no, but are there likely to be any compatability issues I've overlooked? Electrical frinstance. Mike.

Thanks Conor. I was thinking particularly that on some models the fan appears to have three speeds, whilst on others only one. Whether the fan itself was any different for the two types, or if the variable speed was simply dependant on whether the car had a variable voltage feed or not. Mike.
