Electronics : Winter Heating

Many years ago I used to work for Dormobile and we built ambulances and on some of these we fitted a water heater unit that fitted into the botton or top hose (I cant remember which) that was connected to the mains so it heated the engine water giving easier starting and a cab heater that was warm from startup.
