Hoooow much?

Popped into my local VW stealership as last time I was in, I picked a new sump plug up, but it turned out to be the wrong size. Cost of this one was 65p.

After much screen looking into and head scratching, the guy came to the conclusion that mine is the same as an Audi A4 one.... best part of 7 quid! vorsch sprung dork bloody expensive :0( Wish I could retail a metal bolt for 7 squid!

My parents used to have a Volvo 240GLE. They lost the pressure cap for the expansion bottle, Volvo wanted around 70 QUID for it! Got a pressure cap (with a spare expansion bottle too) from a scrappie for a couple of quid.

£10.92 + VAT for a chrome plated, domed rocker cover nut on a Aston Martin DB4 Of course you need 14 of them, so that 14x 10.92 + 17.5% = £179.63

switch for 406....£62.50 which didn't seem that bad considering what the old Lucas unit that was fitted to minis and 1100s cost 20 yrs ago, but then the garage said Citroen fit the same switch and it's only £50 from them so that's what we got.

A few years ago I had an oil cooler hose burst on Lancia Delta - £60 - £80 sir if we can get one. Got one made to measure at local hydraulic specialist for £10

Ah now that's often a worthwhile saving, they do Power steering hoses as well.
