Are parts marked L/R for from facing the vehicle or from behind the wheel?
Slush ( snipped-for-privacy@sk.org) gurgled happily, sounding much like they were saying :
Is your car LHD or RHD?
Which "Left" or "Right" is it?
saying :
It's the "Right" one, the wheel's on the Right not the "Left"
It's on the "Left" if you're facing the vehicle, but on the "Right" from behind the wheel.
I think that's right.
Slush ( snipped-for-privacy@sk.org) gurgled happily, sounding much like they were saying :
*ding*Now, would they use different Left and Right for different things?
Clue: Car designers are mostly male, so there's no "Turn Left" "No, not THAT Left, the OTHER Left".
If in the UK, right refers to driver's side.
Dave Plowman (News) ( snipped-for-privacy@davenoise.co.uk) gurgled happily, sounding much like they were saying :
I'll remember that, next time I'm in one of my LHD cars...
So long as you're driving on the right side of the road....
Malc ( snipped-for-privacy@ubht.swest.nhs.uk) gurgled happily, sounding much like they were saying :
God, no. Somebody might hit me head-on.
We were somewhere around Barstow, on the edge of the desert, when the drugs began to take hold. I remember "Slush" saying something like:
The convention is from behind the wheel.
Or as I heard recently "Wedding ring left"
Steve
Indeed. Now we've cleared that up, tell me which is the front of the engine on a rear-engined VW?
Or as I heard recently "Wedding ring left"
Steve
Put your left indicator on, get out and take a look... ;-)
