Lost charger wire for jumpstarter, any adaptor do?

It's going to be one of those maybe yes, maybe no answers. I presume that your jumpstart pack has a lead acid battery in it so you're going to need, ummm.... somewhere in the region of 13.8 volts to trickle charge it. If your adaptor puts out that sort of voltage then you're ok. If it's regulated to

If you have all ready tried it and the light comes on then its probably ok.

Usually polarity is an issue, guess you were just lucky first time.

Somewhere on the device it must show the power consumption. i.e.. 500ma etc.

Make sure your supply is man enough to match this.

Mine obviously has the charger regulator built in to the body, since both the wall wart and cigar lighter leads are simple DC sources. These packs have SLA batteries and need a constant voltage charge. So a wall wart of something like 14-15 volts DC would be ok. 12 volts regulated won't charge it properly.

I use a 12v unregulated and that seems fine. I fried my original one by confusing it with a 4.5V device that I use for charging a bike light...
