Does anyone know what this is? When you look along the injector rail, you see the four multiplugs for the injectors and just at the end of the 4th cylinder there is another multiplug but it appears to plug directly into the rocker cover.
Is this a cam position sensor or the MAP sensor or am I way off?

Sounds like you're talking about the cam position sensor to me. The ECU uses it to decide which phase the pistons are on - the crank sensor can't tell between compression and exhaust or between induction and power.
