I have a touran, I will test this theory...

I think the touran has an electrically driven A/C system, I think!!! Not a mechanical compressor - I will take a look later to confirm.

Please ask him to supply consumption figures to the nearest decimal place.

You have a big loop of wire attached to the roof of the vehicle. As you drive it intersects the lines of the earth's magnetic field generating electricity. The faster you go the slower the earth spins.
