So it looks like my suggestion of it being 'shared use' trumps even a claim or two? Possibly only if you are of 'sufficient age'? ;-)

She's 28, I'm 34, so not particularly old. And the cars are fairly decent, good Audi A6 and a decent Skoda Octavia, both with decent engines in so not slow cars.

Boring? Canny more like... Do it to reduce the premium - no one says you have to tell your spouse she's on the insurance! ;-)
If you're travelling together on long journeys you can swap drivers to avoid crashing through tiredness?

My wife is on the tin-top insurance and I'm on hers. She's also on my kit-car insurance and she's too short to reach the pedals!
