Hi,
My 98 Synergie (112K miles ) has just developed an intermittant & annoying starting problem. It was fully serviced 3 weeks ago but the car has just done 2000 miles to the Vendee & back.
I think its got the Bosch fuel pump and not the 'cav' one. What happens is it won't fire up properly when warm, even when its only been switched off for a few minutes like at a petrol station. Also , for some reason the rev counter has also gone intermittently on the blink too. Once it eventually starts, it runs fine. There is no overheating or misfiring. In fact it did a
14hr drive @ 80mph back from the French Atlantic coast to Manchester only stopping for fuel and the ferry.
Does the combination of a dickey rev counter and poor starting point to anything obvious on this engine. Can anyone familiar with this engine advise.
Thx
