rear struts - bootlid attacked me!!!

Volvo 440 G reg. Have just been attacked by the rear bootlid of my 440. The struts don't seem to be very efficient now that the cold weather is here. Any ideas on available cost of a replacement/new pair and the postage please folks? What is available? Where should I look for a decent pair?

4ft lath £0 from a skip.

Or try Eurocarparts - same sort of set up.

Scrap yard. Take one of the old ones with you and just compare with the struts on other cars until you find a pair that's a close match.

Last time I did this, it cost me a fiver.

But note they come in different pressures for the same size. It should be marked on them.

GSF, eurocarparts or most exhaust factors sell them

I've recently fixed a killer bonnet on my E28. One puff of wind and something heavier than my citroen ax used to land on my head!!
