Valve timing 2.0litre DOHC Ford Petro - Sierra

Have come unstuck re-assembling above motor. Haynes Manual doesn't seem helpful. Lots of slack in the timing chain, only two copper links in chain, didnt find correct crank timing mark till yesterday. Very messy! Can anyone help, please!

the copper links on the chain mark the positions of the cams and the main crank pulley you need to make sure that you've put the bottom one on first in the correct place, then you can put the chain on the cam pulley's and then fit them into place with the right hand side getting the tension on it once this is done you can let go of the tensioner and turn it over by hand till the tensioner goes "pop" give it a few more turns to make sure and then see if the timing has stayed true to it's marks on the block/head the crank will be pointing downwards and the cams should be slightly pointing downwards and to the outside
