I've brought a 1996 Scorpio, Manual, 2.0i 8v Estate. I've noticed that under acceleration, it vibrates. It doesn't happen under gentle acceleration, or cruising, nor on de-acceleration. On the website

most likely replacements can be around the £200 mark though, so I'd suggest taking it to someone who knows what it'll be rather than buy one and hope
it might be the rubber doughnut on the prop as well, but these are obsolete parts and ford don't stock them anymore
it could ALSO be a broken stud in the output flange on the gearbox (my mate had this on his)
but they are all prop related, you just need to narrow it down somewhat
