How is the original USA light plant?

Hi, I am an Italian boy, from few I have a Miata of the '90 Usa "Classic Red." The car in 96 has been modified for being able to circulate in Italy, specially in the plant lights. I have seen that the anterior fixed lighthouses have a particular light, that allows two different lightings of the anterior orange lights. How should the lights of the auto be, as she were born in America? Should The anterior lights of direction be always turned on and when it serves do they have to blink or similar? Could someone illustrate me as should be the lights, both back and anterior?

The front turn signal has one bulb with two filaments: one for running lights, and a brighter one that blinks as a turn signal. The running lights are not on all the time, but are activated by the headlight switch; the first switch position is running lights only, the second position is main beams plus running lights.

This is for USA cars. Canadian cars use the bulbs differently, as daytime running lights. If your yellow lights are on all the time, but blink for turn signals, perhaps you have the Canadian DRL module installed.
