Simple headight question

Are they bulbs or sealed units on a UK MX5 1991 1.6 with pop-ups. If bulbs, how do you get at em?

Bulbs if it's a "true" UK spec car. Sealed if it's a Japanese grey import.

You start by popping open the lights by pressing the button on the dash. Then remove the fuse for the pop-ups for safety reasons.

Then you remove the black plastic surrounding by unscrewing the two screws in each side. Then you find the three screws holding on the chrome ring around the headlight unit.

Twist the chrome ring 5-10 degrees counter clockwise and remove the whole assembly. Pull back the rubber protector from the bulb and the rest should be obvious.

Don't "find" the adjustment screws as I invariable end up doing.
