2004 Mazda 3 Sport

Am the proud owner of a black on black 3 Sport GT. Car is beautifully put together with no problems to report in the first 2 months of ownership - 2200 kms. My only complaint is that I have some chemical film on the windshield that is nicely baked on with 2 months of solid sun. Car came from the dealership with this film and there is no window product that I have used that will touch it. Any Suggestions?

Thanks :)

Double check with a local auto glass place before doing this: Use a very fine grit steel wool to clean the outside surface of the windshield. Outside surface only, as the inside surface probably has a safety film.

Take it back to the dealership and have them take care of it, it is only

2 months old. They do have a bumper to bumper warranty initially. I bought an '03 Protege last fall that I noticed had a slight hazing in the paint on the horizontal surfaces(hood, roof, trunk lid), I took it back after 3 months of ownership and they gladly took care of it. Shines like glass now...I wouldn't use steel wool on your windshield, I foresee many minute scratches coming out of that procedure...

A very, very fine grit. Works more like a polishing cloth than an abrasive. And I +did+ say to check with your local glass shop before doing it.
