Hi anyone, looking to find out HOW water gets into the inside of the boot lid, cant find any holes, rubber seal in all ok, only place I can think of is around the merc emblem on the boot or around the lock. This seemes to be common fault. any help would be great. Regards.

water on the inside of the boot lid is often caused by condensation which is caused by a leak elsewhere - this is a common problem with 190s and it is difficult to find the source of the leak!

1) check the rear windscreen rubber - this can leak into the boot area 2) make sure the boot lid is fitting tight against the rubber seal

other than that - sorry - can't help!

Cheers Andy
