You sure that wasn't the emergency brake? ;-)

That started in 1972, which was after the "Rambler" name had been dropped. (Last Rambler model was 1969.) AMC used the GM Dual-Range Hydramatic until about 1958, when the Borg-Warner automatic (dubbed "Flash-O-Matic") was adopted. I'm pretty sure the push-button models were all Borg-Warner equipped.
