190e AC and vibrations - please help

Jul 16, 2004 2 Replies

Hi all, when outside temperatures are about 25C or less, everything is fine when using the AC. However, should outside temperatures be up near 30C, then when AC is switched on -and during Idle only- the car will make quite a racket with much vibration near the front of engine. It is difficult to pin down where exactly. When accelerating all seems fine again. What could possibly be going on??

- any suggestions much appreciated regards, guenter

I think a good possibility is the engine mounts are shot... when is the last time you replaced them both?

Never have. They are 10 years old. Excellent point, many thanks!
