Outside temperature is wrong (on E 220 coupe/W124)

Hi,

I had the climate evaporator changed so the dashboard was totally removed.... since this big work, I had several small bugs repaired and fixed; but still 2 bugs are present:

1) The outside temperature is wrongly displayed: When I start the car the external temperature looks good but after 10 seconds approximately (or less) the values goes down for 10° celsius: For example from 24 to 14. The gauge (under the license plate) is well working: I Unplug the electric connector of the gauge located in the general fuse box and I plug here a 9000 Ohms resistor and the temprature indicate +1°C and after a while - 7°C(in less than 10 seconds). This is very odd ??? Any ideas ?

2) The inside temperature adjustement knobs are crossed: When I adjust the left one the temperature changed at the right side and vice versa ... The garage mechanic told me that this cannot be a connector as there is only one for this part on the dash board ??? and no mistake can be done ... true or not ?? Any ideas ?

Thanks

Claf
