'81 300TD After a year of a leaking sunroof, I dropped the headliner and removed the sunroof assembly. More accurately, I removed a couple of bolts and the flakes of rust that was once my sunroof pan rained onto my upolstry. My hopes for a couple of repairable holes were dashed. I'm going to see if another sunroof assembly will fit in the hole-assuming I can find another non-motorized one worth putting in. If not, I will weld the sunroof shut and finish it so it looks like a sunroof was never there. My questions:
Can a non-sunroof headliner be easily fitted over the interior of the existing sunroof that has been sealed?
What is a good source for a new headliner?
