Death of the 145r13

Hi all. I am about to change tire size on my 1979 Midget as I can find only one tire in the original size, an economy tire ( Dunlop sp 20 ). There appears to be a lack of options in 155 series tires, so I am considering a 165 series tire on my 4.5" rims just to increase my options. I know that many tires in this size are listed/approved (in their lower range) for the 4.5" wheel, however I would appreciate advice as to potential rubbing or other problems encountered by those of you who have put 165's on their 4.5" rims.

Also, apparently no tire will match exactly the hieght profile of the

145r13, it appears I must decide on raising or lowering the car about 10mm. My brain tells me the car will look better 10mm higher, the ride is stiff enough already without reducing the aspect ratio, but is there any serious handling reduction or other saftey issue that comes with this amount of raising? Is 10mm minimal and the desision strictly up to my esthetics? Any advice or experience appreciated, thanks.
