Rover '98 Sportpack popping out of REVERSE???

The car is nearly standard (except a KAD quickshift) I put the car in reverse, get it rolling then floor the accelerator and it pops out of reverse. if i gradually put the gas on, it stays in reverse. anyone know /have experienced this? I had a '94 mayfair previously and i could floor it in reverse in that no problem (even fitted with the exact SAME KAD quickshift)

anyway, my new car has only done 15,000 miles and wonder if it is serious? It pulls very strongly in all forward gears. clutch is fine. remember that as this is a sportpack i know it has a longer final drive than the 12" wheeled coopers, so is this an expensive bill?

thanks RS

Sounds like the KAD system isn't allowing full selection of that gear, or the engine steady is worn and causing the engine to move, this then pulls it out of gear, or the worse case scenario, the gear is worn and needs replacing, I hope its one of the top two, Fitzy
