My friends 1995 3000GT has started to "steam" out the passenger side tailpipes. At the same time the passenger side pipes are blowing very hot and the drivers side are blowing cold. The steaming is such that when the engine has been turned off the pipes continue to steam for about 5 seconds. Any help diagnosing would be appriciated.

Not blowing smoke - that's a turn up for the books.
Blown head gasket anyone? Maybe not, maybe a cracked engine block or cylinder head. Does it have two turbos? If so maybe a turbo housing has cracked allowing water in.
Whatever it is, you should notice the coolant level in your reservoir dropping. You might want to check your oil too, as it could be a nice mayonnaise consistency if you have a path from your coolant to an oil line opened up.
Lots of fun for which you can thank the Mitsubishi engineers for all of the interesting fault possibilities that they designed into their work.
