new rim, minimum lug thread

Feb 28, 2006 0 Replies

i just got these rims

for the back 2 rims it fits nice.

the problem is the front, the brake caliper was hitting the rims so i got

1/4 inch wheel spacer and that was just enough to clear it away from the calipers.

so here the real problem, the 1.5 mm lugs has 10 threats to fully screw. but with the wheel spacer, it can only go about 6 threads. leaving about 4 short to be fully inserted. is this safe enough? so is 6 threads safe enough? to hold it?

its for a 2000 mitsubishi gallant 5 studs
