2004 Nissan Maxima Wheel Rim Damage

Jan 31, 2004 2 Replies

I have had 2 seperate incidents of bent aluminum wheel rims. Has anyone had similar problems. One occurance was in front hitting a pot hole but nothing as severe as the damage that was done. Second occurance was to back tire and we never remeber hitting anything. In both cases wheel rim was bent causing air leak that was unrepairable. Problem is that these cost $600. Thats now $1200 in 6 weeks.

Please advise.

That's the bad side of low profile tires. Make sure you keep the air pressure up at the top end of the range. Check them every couple weeks. Also, there are places that can straighten your rims for far less than $600.
