Spacewagon Throttle Control

Anybody else had a problem with the Throttle Control Valve on a Spacewagon GDI 1999. I am told mine needs replacing at a cost of £1000! because the engine keeps losing power. Anyone managed to get money out of Mitsubishi?

David ,

The ETV ( Electronic throttle valve ) is a problem on GDI. Can you tell me what specific area is at fault ? Generally fault codes 91 and 92 are input . 92 can sometimes be cured by a good cleaning , if its 91 then yes the throttle body is faulty . There is a company here in the UK ( im guessing your in the UK with the lineone address ) called BBA who can repair throttle body . I dont have the number to hand , but can get it from work tomorrow . If you have no lucking finding the number yourself , give me a ring tomorrow on my mobile ( 07949 109945 ) and i'll be happy to give you the number. Unknown if Mitsi assist in the payment of the body , but if you call CCC on 01285 655777 and ask for customer services they may help if you kick off enough.

Regards
