If you exceed it's limits, then I agree, it won't like it. The same applies to a RWD car though, but said limits are (usually) higher.

Fair enough. As above, mechanical sympathy usually stops me doing gearchanges *that* hard, so it's probably not something I'll ever notice :)

Well that's not really an option with a none-shopping-trolley FWD car. They go through tyres quickly enough as it is, and wider rubber isn't cheap.

Thats why I like older cheaper cars - mechanical sympathy is optional :)

But when you exceed a RWD car limits you can still keep your foot in if you're brave enough :)

No, but it was given to us because the head gasket needed doing and was being saved for when my sister started driving. Turned out she didnt want to drive so it just sat on our drive till it was scrapped, so every now and again (or when I was working on my car) I'd take it out and give it a spanking!

You shouldn't be telling us this, seeing as you occasionally advertise your cars for sale on here :)

I'm not really that bad, it's just I've used a lot of cars on events so they get pushed right to their limits. But OTOH it also means I keep them maintained as I dont want them to break on me! My everyday driving is pretty sedate though. Cant be arsed with hooning around any more (well mostly)
